At long last, I can finally celebrate the first TRUE anniversary of the Restart Again series! Today, February 29th, 2024, is exactly 4 years from the day that Volume 1 was published as an eBook on Amazon. At the time, I didn’t pay much attention to the fact that it was Leap Day, but it’s provided me with an endless supply of bad jokes about my publishing debut, so I have to give past me some credit for that wonderful gift.

Thinking back on it now, there were a LOT of things I didn’t know about publishing a book. Were I able to go back and ask my past self what I thought would happen after pressing the upload button, I don’t think he’d have ANY idea how big this project would become for me. The fact that the first book has passed 1,000 reviews on Amazon is STILL mind-boggling to me, and I’ve had a chance to interact with so many fantastic people over the course of this writing career of mine. A lot of the thanks for that is owed to you, the reader (and more specifically, you, the reader of this blog!). The fact that my KDP stats page lists the total pages read through Kindle Unlimited as over 6 MILLION means I have a LOT of people to thank for supporting me, and I hope this post can convey my deepest gratitude in some small part.

If you’ve kept up with my recent posts, you know I had hoped to release Volume 5 on this most auspicious of Leap Days. As you can probably tell, that didn’t come to pass. My next hope was to make the official release announcement in its place, but that is sadly not happening either. We are truly in the endgame of editing and publishing prep, but we’re not quite there yet. As the prolific Gabe Newell once put it so very eloquently, “Late is just for a little while, but suck is forever.” With nearly two years of work behind it, Volume 5 isn’t going to get rushed over the finish line just for the sake of an anniversary.

With that being said, I can make you a guarantee that the next blog post you see from me will be the official cover reveal alongside a preorder and release date! I hope you won’t have to wait too long to see it, either; I was actually a lot closer to having an announcement ready for today that I expected I would be!

I could probably continue to ramble in circles about how grateful I am, how much fun writing this series has been, and how excited I am for everyone to get their own copies of Restart Again: Volume 5, but in an effort to save us all some time, I’ll cut this blog post short. At this point, I am 100% comfortable in saying that you will see the cover reveal and preorder announcement in March 2024, so we’ll be meeting here again in just a few weeks to talk about it! Until then, stay safe out there, and as always, thanks for reading!
